Check your photo against the right requirements.
Choose the country, passport or visa, and the exact application. We check your photo against that route’s rules, tell you exactly what to fix, and, where the rules allow it, frame and size it for printing.
Free checks stay in your browser. Purchasing an export requires a separate, consented upload of the prepared photo.
Reviewed official guidance or checks cover 47 countries. Source depth varies: some routes offer guidance only, and 3 routes currently have a tested export (U.S. passport — paper form (mail or in person); Hong Kong passport — printed photo (post or in person); Hong Kong passport — online or mobile-app upload). See exact coverage before choosing.
Every route has its own rules. We keep them apart.
Routes we can frame and size
Where the authority’s published rules allow it, we frame and size your photo to the official size (2 × 2 in for U.S. paper passports; 40 × 50 mm for Hong Kong), with no changes to your face, background or colors. You get a photo file and, for printed-photo routes, a 4 × 6 in print sheet.
Online renewals, UK, Canada
Some routes want your original file, or a commercial photographer’s photo. For those we check the file and give it back unchanged. We say so before you upload.
How it works
- Choose the exact application. Passport or visa, country, then the route.
- Add a JPG or PNG. It’s read in your browser. Nothing is uploaded.
- Read the report. It’s split into four groups: measured, estimated, you confirm, and only the authority decides.
- Fix, retake, or print. Specific retake steps, your unchanged original, or a print-ready photo where allowed.
What we won’t do
No AI editing. No background replacement, smoothing, eye opening or face changes. U.S. rules restrict digital changes, and an edited photo can be rejected. We don’t run face recognition and free checks do not store photos on our servers. We never say a photo is “approved”. Only the U.S. Department of State decides that.
